So, one thing at a time. First picture features delicious scrambled eggs which I had for breakfast recently around 2 PM. It was after a demanding night (spent drinking, yes, if you must ask) and this meal managed to put me at peace with my hangover and, that way, with the whole world. I even found a few cherry tomatoes to go with it, which sealed the deal completely.

Další obrázky jsou připomínkou Itálie. V prvém případě je to pravá mozzarella kombinovaná s rajčaty vypěstovanými Magdinou babičkou, panenským olivovým olejem a silnou thajskou bazalkou... prostě caprese bez kompromisů, konzumované samozřejmě v příjemné společnosti.

These three pics are a tribute to Italy. First features buffalo mozzarella combined with home-grown tomatoes from Magda's grandma, virgin olive oil and strong Thai basil... simply put, caprese without a compromise, eaten in a great company - this is what a proper summer should feel like. The following picture shows half-baked, half dried tomatoes. They've been in the oven for seven hours, baked at a low temperature dressed only in a few drops of olive oil, some garlic, herbs, little brown sugar, and salt and pepper. This delicacy may be preserved for later, although I must honestly say that I've never had the nerve yet - they always end up in a batch of fresh pasta, this time with some prosciutto, basil, and pumpkin seeds. The taste is indescribable, because the meal reflects every single minute the tomatoes spend in the oven. As impatient as I am, this is one of the hardest meals for me to make, it is a perfect solution for busy days, though, since I can happily work at the computer all day and still eat something great at the end of the day. Besides, in the process of making, the tomatoes fill the whole kitchen with heavenly, comforting smell which makes it less of an office and more of a home.

The last picture shows grilled aubergines made in a similar fashion as the above-mentioned tomatoes. Just dress the thin slices in honey, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic and some spices, and leave them under the grill for pretty much arbitrary length of time (the longer the better of course). These may be served with yoghurt and fresh coriander, but will taste just as well on their own; always go by what you find in the fridge. Enjoy!
