K obědu jsem "vařila" krajíc chleba s cheddarem v mikrovlnce. výsledek netřeba komentovat. zato odpoledne jsme si dali skutečnou dobrotu pro mlsouny - zmrzlinu z řeckého jogurtu s medem a několika lískovými oříšky. ňam. / well, today's lunch was simple - a slice of bread with (very) melted cheddar. the photo needs no comments I guess. on the other hand, afternoon brought a true delicacy for all those sweet toothed among us - greek yoghurt and honey flavoured ice cream, with a handful of hazelnuts to go on top. yummy...

sobotní snídaně byla lehká jako pírko - trocha jogurtu a navrch salát z ovoce. nakonec lístek bazalky, a šálek čaje... nejlepší start do nového letního dne. / Saturday's breakfast, light as a feather. Bit of yoghurt topped with a medley of fruits, green dot of basil, and a cup of breakfast tea... The best beginning of another summer day.

v pátek jsme snídali omeletu "co dům dal". Byl v ní zbytek lilku, našla se jedna zapomenutá šalotka i kus cheddaru. Navrch přišla směs rukoly a mátových lístečků od včerejška. Bylo to dobré... / on Friday, we had a leftover omelette for breakfast. It contained some leftover aubergine, one forgotten spring onion, some cheddar, and it was topped with a mix of rocket and mint. And it was good...

ve čtvrtek jsem vařila pro kamarády. protože mezi strávníky se vyskytl jeden býložravec (pardon, vegetarián), nakonec šlo o ovocné a zeleninové hody. v první galerii je předkrm neboli hrušky na rukole s rokfórovým přelivem, druhá galerie představuje hlavní chod neboli lilky plněné mátovým kuskusem se sušenými meruňkami a semínky, třetí galerie pak ukáže závěrečný salátek z jahod, fíků a okurky. podle reakcí strávníků se večer vydařil, nejen díky dobrotám, ale i díky příjemné společnosti...

on Thursday, I prepared a meal for a few friends. Since one of the guests was vegetarian, the feast carried on the theme of fruit and veg. The first gallery features the starter, or grilled pears on a bed of rocket and topped with roquefort mousse, the second one shows the main course of aubergines stuffed with minty, fruity couscous, and the third presents the final salad of cucumber, strawberry and figs topped with light balsamico dressing. The evening was a success, not only thanks to the food, but in the first place thanks to the pleasant company...
